That agony only got worse when the company he said he hired to liquidate the collection, Danbury-based Nette Auctions, failed to pay him for the trains they sold. The entire collection was going to go, but thank God, they didnt take all the trains on their first trip, said Hall, who had built a special room in his Virginia home to house his collection. It was just a huge disappointment that shows life can change through no fault of your own. Hall, whose collection was featured on the show Extreme Collectors, is one of several customers who have come forward in recent weeks claiming that Nette Auctions closed earlier this month without paying for collections they had sold. Nette, which had been in business for about five years, specialized in antique toys, with a particular emphasis on trains.
